In the afternoon of September 17, 21, the representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Branch cooperated with the Thanh Nien Newspaper unit to visit and give gifts to orphaned children due to the Covid-19 pandemic. .

The Covid-19 pandemic suddenly re-emerged, especially in the southern region from the end of April until now, which has claimed the lives of thousands of people, including many parents who are the breadwinners of the family, the source of their  small children. Therefore, many children have become orphans, having to temporarily rely on relatives or neighbors. Specifically, according to the data reported by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training with the Culture and Social Affairs Committee (Ho Chi Minh City People's Council) on September 14, in Ho Chi Minh City alone, more than 1,500 students fell into orphans because of their loss, a number that cannot help but shock the community and cause grief. Faced with that painful situation, Thanh Nien Newspaper decided to launch the Program to support orphans due to the Covid-19 pandemic to help them overcome pain and difficulties with warm affection and care wholehearted community.

Responding to that call, on September 17, Mr. Nguyen Van Duong, Director of Ho Chi Minh City Branch - Vietlott, directly visited and presented gifts worth 2 million VND for 2 circumstances of orphaned children due to the pandemic in the area. At the same time, Vietlott also immediately decided to contribute to the Fund "Protecting Orphans Due to Covid 19 Pandemic" with an amount of VND 100 million.
