Across the country, blood donation activities are being seriously affected as the whole country enters the most stressful Covid-19 wave ever.

The complicated epidemic situation made the blood donation schedule constantly postponed, canceled, and it was difficult for many people to move to the blood donation site in the middle of the social distancing. Many localities are unable to organize blood donation for a long time such as: Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Can Tho... causing a serious decrease in blood volume while the demand for blood in hospitals is still very large, including blood products for the treatment of severe Covid-19 patients. The National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion can only meet 50%-70% of the blood needs for emergency and treatment.

In that situation, finding a safe and effective blood donation source is an urgent issue in many localities. Therefore, from September 14 to 21, many government agencies and organizations launched "Pink Week" and unanimously implemented many voluntary blood donation programs to send to hospitals and hospitals hematology institutes across the country.

As an enterprise focusing on sustainable development for the community, Vietlott has promptly joined hands with the community to contribute to the blood fund of the country. Practically responding to the Pink Week 2021 program organized by the Youth Union of the Ministry of Finance with the theme "A drop of peach blood - Supporting compatriots to win the epidemic", Vietlott Youth Union volunteered to donate blood on the morning of the same day, last September 18.
