Recognizing the urgent need to build the Bo Bao Canal Bridge, which would shorten the distance to school for students by more than 5 km and facilitate travel, shopping, and transportation for local residents, Vietnam Lottery Corporation (Vietlott) has donated VND 250 million to the construction of the Bo Bao Canal Bridge.

Regarding the handover of the construction project "Building a new bridge over the Bo Bao Canal, Dong Hien A hamlet, Dong Thuan commune, Thoi Lai district, Can Tho city"

Based on Document No. 278/UBND-XDCB dated February 15, 2024 of the Chairman of the Thoi Lai District People's Committee on agreeing on the investment policy for the construction project "Building a new bridge over the Bo Bao Canal, Dong Hien A hamlet, Dong Thuan commune, Thoi Lai district, Can Tho City";

Based on the Minutes of Confirmation of Sponsorship signed on December 01, 2023 by the Director of Vietlott Can Tho Branch and the Chairman of Đông Thuận Commune, Thoi Lai District, Can Tho City,

Based on the needs of the people of the two communes of Dong Thuan and Dong Binh, especially the students who go to school divided by the Bo Bao canal.

Recognizing the urgent need to build a bridge over the Bo Bao Canal will shorten the travel distance by more than 5 km for students to go to school as well as support people in commuting, buying and selling, and transporting goods much more conveniently.

Through the mobilization of the Leaders of Can Tho City. The Vietnam Electronic Lottery Company (Vietlott) - Ministry of Finance has confirmed to sponsor the construction cost of the Bo Bao canal bridge with a total project value of VND 279,220,531. In which Vietlott sponsored VND 250 million, the locality counterpart with labor cost is VND 29,220,531.

The project started construction on February 22, 2024 and the inauguration ceremony for handover for use on April 25, 2023. The construction team for the Bo Bao canal bridge was carried out by professional charity bridge construction teams of the UBMTTQ of Thoi Lai district.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by representatives of all levels of Leaders of Can Tho City, Thoi Lai District, Dong Thuan Commune, and Dong Binh Commune. The joy of the people of Dong Hien A hamlet, Dong Thang hamlet, Dong Thuan commune and the people of Dong Binh commune cannot be described when the new solid bridge was built across the Bo Bao canal connecting Dong Thuan commune with Dong Binh commune, creating conditions for people to travel easily, shortening the time to reach the district's administrative center.

Traveling and trading will be more convenient and easier, contributing to improving the family economic life of the people in the two communes. And especially for students, from today onwards, the way to school will be shortened by more than 5 km of detour, helping them to travel to study less hard, and parents will be more assured when sending their children to school. Going to school regularly will help improve the future of the children through education
